brigitte and ryan’s day was just perfect. each of their unique personalities compliment each other in a way that is hard to come by. i was so happy to be able to meet this couple and to watch them become one. the way that they look at each other and support one another in the simplest of ways was inspiring and so sweet to witness. their lovely wedding day was a mixture of tradition and their own personal style, and it was a perfect representation of who they are as a couple. here are a few highlights from the day!
congratulations again to both of you! have so much fun in new zealand and in all of your future adventures together. all the best!

this is definitely one of my new favorite family sessions. take note: letting your kids have fun is the key to genuine, happy images! this is my third session with this family because i get to document teaghan’s first year of life and she just turned 8 months old! we all just played together and laughed and had a relaxed and easy going time and i love that the photos show the true nature of this fun family. these kids have the best smiles ever and the love they all share just makes me so happy to see. i think i smiled the entire time i was putting together this blog post. here are a few of my favorites!>so fun hanging with you guys, see you next time! :)

after having to reschedule several times because of the crazy weather we’ve been having (80 and sunny one day, hailing the next… seriously?) we picked a date and stuck to it. we watched the weather call for rain, it poured most of the day, amanda got cute umbrellas, and we pressed on. the rain stopped right in time for our session, literally within minutes) and the light was actually lovely for us. i had a great time getting to know this family and i can’t wait to meet their newest addition when she arrives, making them a family of five. these sweet little girls are so excited for their new sister and i loved the affection and comfort they all had with each other. here are a few of my favorites…his tattoo says – ‘love conquers all, let us all yield to love.’ such an awesome affirmation.
amanda, you are so beautiful.
can’t wait to see you guys as a family of five soon!

my anticipation for this little one’s arrival and for taking these photos was a little more than normal. okay, it was off the charts. kelly is my middle school bff, and even though we thought we were so grown up in middle school (ha), looking back on our lives and our friendship, we’ve known and loved each other since we were kids. we also ended up at the same college and have never lost our special bond, no matter how much time we’ve spent apart or how much time passes between our visits. she will always make me laugh until i cry and amaze me with her wild ability to remember movie quotes, and recite them in exquisite timing. her sense of humor has always been one of my absolute favorites. getting to know adam and seeing kelly with someone who she is at home around, makes her laugh, and adores her – has been awesome. my heart was so full seeing this family and hearing kelly talk about the first moments she saw her son and how it felt. having been there myself, i loved watching our friendship transcend the bonds of motherhood.
kelly and adam, i am so incredibly happy for you guys. ryder is perfect and i know you guys are going to find strength in one another that you may not have known existed before. your laughter will help you float through the challenges and your big hearts will just keep expanding. i can’t wait to see this little boy grow up and watch your family evolve. love you guys!

i have been awaiting the arrival of this sweet brother and sister duo since beth & justin’s maternity session back in january. since the twins were born early, we waited a couple of months before doing their newborn photos so that they were a bit more settled, and had a little more squishy baby chub. luckily since there are two of them, i got to hold each them and love on them a lot during our time together. seeing beth and justin as parents was inspiring and just plain amazing. they both approach being a mom and dad with such joy and they are so easy going and in love with their babies. we played bob marley and laughed and ooh’ed and ahh’ed over how amazing stella and sam were. it was so fun. beth and justin, thank you so much for having me take photos of this incredible time in your lives. here are a few of my favorites…
PS, cutest nursery ever.
they are so precious.
i love.
such a beautiful family.
could there be a more beautiful mom?
xo.

i had so much fun hanging out with amanda and chatting about her business. she’s a massage therapist, and specifically a certified ROLFER. i got to learn a lot about rolfing structural integration (a really cool type of massage) and get to know this sweet woman. she is expanding her business in a new and exciting way, and needed photos for the website she’s having built. i can’t wait to see it! here are a few of my favorite photos from our time together. amanda, you’re gorgeous.
best of luck in all your new endeavors!
